ChildCare-Rai Foundation, an NGO with a massive support of the worlds top NGOs and more than 125 alike minded people throughout the world was formally launched on 8 th February by its Co-founder and President Mr. David Ong for an initiative towards the care and concern of the disadvantaged children in India
Launching the website and also the NGO Mr. David Ong took a firm stand for children's basic rights, in particular for the most disadvantaged, vulnerable, underprivileged and downtrodden children. He focused that India is now on the world radar as an emerging super power and this initiative will be good for all concerned and will be beneficial to the most vulnerable children in India with direct aid and media advocacy.
Mr. Ong also announced the ChildCare Rai Foundations Gifted Girl and Genius Award (GGGA), a worldwide program towards creating a renaissance in higher education exclusively for 60 Girl Students. The main focus will be providing better education and career opportunities for young women in the 21st century. "The belief is in harnessing and channelising the resources and strengths of women to assure them their rightful place in society. The scholarship awards "GirlGenius" and "GiftedGirl" are to empower the deserving girl students throughout the world." The girl students will be selected on merit-cum-need basis throughout the world from countries like US, UK, Middle East, Far East, South Africa and the African Continent and the South Asian Continent.
Extending the role and services of Rai Foundation towards CCRF, Mr. Vinay Rai, Chairman Rai Foundation and Co-founder CCRF said, "The basic motto is upliftment and inculcating values and education so that children understand the strands of life and are geared to face the odds successfully." He said that ChildCare-Rai Foundation has the exclusive support of Rai Foundation aimed at achieving a better world for all children, especially the girl child for which Rai Foundation is already running scholarship programs.
Apart from Mr. David Ong and Mr. Vinay Rai, Ms Pera Wells - Acting Secretary-General World Federation of United Nations Associations , Wolfgang Riehn - Executive Director, Club of Budapest Mr. Krens -Director, Club of Budapest and Melissa Rossi - Noted Writer of International fame adorned the dais and asserted their respective organizations commitment to CCRF.
