
The Mumbai International Film Festival (MIFF-2006), India organized by the Film division of India, has selected the film " MIDSHOT-an experiment with truth", a production of the Institute of Film and TV Production, Rai Foundation, for its prestigious MIFF 2006 award.
Directed by Mr. Rambhul Singh, the movie is based on the life Mahatma Gandhi and Nathuram Godse (who assassinate Gandhi). It also reveals the travails of a director trying to unravel the assassination of his ideal, Mahatma Gandhi. The film also explores the Gandhi- Godse ideological divide and shows how Gandhi becomes an experiment with truth in the directors own life, making him search for answers in his inner self regarding an array of issues.
Apart from being selected for Mumbai International Film Festival (MIFF-2006), the film has also won the Best film award in " Shoot at Site " Film festival recently organized by Indraprastha University, New Delhi.
