Women's rights and issues have always been a subject of
serious concern for academicians, intelligentsia and policy
makers. From pastoral society to contemporary information
and global society, the role of women has changed drastically.
While women issues have received attention in policy making
and laws, the ground level realities are very much stacked
against them and their rise to positions of power and decision-making.
'We the Women' is an effort towards strengthening women's
status in the Indian society and fight the evils that plague
their survival. Issues like domestic violence, education,
sexual harassment, child abuse; female infanticide, child
trafficking, child marriage etc. are addressed to eradicate
the same.
